Making the modern man
The Scott & Co. made-to-measure experience begins with an in-depth and genuine discussion with our expert stylist to find out your needs and your requirements. A growing selection of over 600 fabric choices with varying threadcount, composition and origins, all specially curated to suit your needs. Each consultation is an intimate session where you can freely discuss your requirements and preferences with our stylist. Our expert stylist will guide you through the entire process of colour-selection, pattern-matching and style-advising to bring out the best look in you.
At Scott & Co., we are true believers of always measuring twice so that we only have to cut our raw fabrics once. Our measuring process will begin with our expert stylist collecting your 19-point body measurements. Subsequently, with our specially handcrafted fitting jackets and pants, we will establish a preliminary fit that will allow us to better understand your body structure and unique features. All of these, before cutting the raw fabrics to craft your suits from scratch.
3. FiniSHing Touches
Every Scott & Co. suit is unique and one-of-a-kind with your unique measurements and now, it would be completed with the multitude of customizations available for your choosing. We are always obsessed with details, from the type and width of the lapels, to the slant of your pockets and to the number of buttons on your sleeves. These are just the tip of the iceberg. So just sit back as our expert stylist guides you through the customizations while explaining to you the significance of each for you to make the decisions. Once again, you will be in expert hands, as we guide you through the different kinds of lapels, the trendiness of the side adjustors for pants and the history of the ticket pocket to name a few items. To top it all off, each suit comes with your embroidered name on the inner lining, a symbol that this suit is exclusive to you only.
While this process may seem tedious, bear in mind that this is a worthy investment for a suit that brings out the Modern Man in you.
Made to Measure Process
A true modern gentleman always pays attention to the hard work that goes behind the greatness experienced.
Pattern-Making – This is the process where every number taken by our expert stylist would count. From the various body measurements, physical paper-canvasses are being drawn to allow our master tailors of more than 3 decades of experience to better visualize the wearer’s body structures.
Cutting – With the dimensions from the patterns, the fabric is cut to precision by inches for the different pieces that would eventually be hand-stitched into the fabric components for the suit jacket or trousers.
Stitching – A crucial process of the stitching of the fabric components of the suit jacket or trousers. A specialty lightweight floating canvas through the shoulders to the chest is being sewn between pieces of the jacket. This gives the jacket a natural drape and structure that is built to last. Each component inside is being stitched by eighth of an inch of space so that the completed piece has the most natural drape and structure that lasts.
- Assembly – The magic happens here with the assembly of the components. Each piece has been ironed out to its best form before assembly to allow for the most accurate joints. This step might sound simple but the angle of joining pieces together is important to us. How the sleeves connect to the shoulders, for instance, are so precise and can perfect the look of your specially crafted Scott & Co. Suit.
Fitting to Perfection
Upon completion of your specially crafted suits in 3 weeks, you would be invited back to our store to have your first fitting session. You would be able to try on the suit and our expert stylist would go through every component with you from top to bottom. In the event when adjustments are required, our stylist would confirm with you on the perfect fit and we would engage our in-house tailors to work on your adjustments immediately. The timing of the adjustments would range from 1-2 weeks and our stylist would advice accordingly there and then. Thereafter, you would be invited for 1 more fitting session to confirm on the best fit on you.
